On May 25th I went to Merritt speedway for their MARFC (Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club) night.
MARFC night means that if you are a MARFC member you will get into the scheduled track for free you just show your MARFC card (I even have my own card). Mom says the membership for a family is not expensive, like $25 for a whole family. I love that these tracks do this because it gives fans a chance to go to new tracks and go for free to the ones that you go to regularly.

On this night I got to visit with the MARFC President John Jackson, MARFC social media person David Howe, Nancy May and Alan Lardie they are all on the MARFC board. They were all such nice people and they truly enjoy the sport.
I also got to meet Ryan Fritz, he is Merritt Speedways announcer. Announcing is one of his hobbies, his job is being a school teacher. He was so easy to understand everything that he was saying on the microphone, which I really like because then I knew the names of the drivers and got to even get a little insight on some of them.

Another fun thing was dancing along with “The Dancing Flagman” Mike during intermission.
The racing was good and fast paced, I especially liked watching our family friend Dona Marcoullier Late model #6M win his race.
After the race I got to go into the pits to help Dona push in his car. I have never seen a 2-story hauler up close it is so cool the car goes in on a platform then raises up to a second story just like an elevator.
Thank you Merritt speedway and MARFC for a fun night.
I will see you at the races
