I have come to the conclusion that Calendar’s lie. According to the grid on my wall Spring was to have sprung over a month ago, yet here I sit, hours away from a race track with traces of white stuff still in my yard.
Last weekend’s hopes of attending Crystal were washed away, and again this weekend CMS fell victim to cold temperatures and too much moisture.
Spring is surely off to a slow start, but hopefully it means that once summer arrives we will have a stellar one filled with sunny warm weekends. Until that day arrives I will continue to keep myself up-to-date on the southern racing action by checking out National Speed Sport News. The printed version sadly has become a memory; but up-to-date news is still found on the website with some of my favorite columnists like Mike Kerchner, Gary London, and Susan Wade still contributing on a regular basis. You can check it all out at http://www.nationalspeedsportnews.com. Also, NSSN can be found on facebook, and with consistent news feeds it’s a great way to have news from the world of auto racing right on your own news feed. (http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/SpeedSport).
May you all have a blessed Easter weekend filled with family, friends, and most of all the reminder of God’s love for every one of us!
Thank you for reading and I REALLY hope to see you when the next green flag flies!
