I have come to the conclusion that Calendar’s lie. According to the grid on my wall Spring was to have sprung over a month ago, yet here I sit, hours away from a race track with traces of white stuff still in my yard. Continue reading “Spring???!!!!”
Rain in Ohio…

Last weekend (April 9th) I attempted to kick off spring with some great dirt-track racing action; unfortunately the weather was uncooperative. A forecast of 70º and sunny for Eldora Speedway turned to 53º with nasty thunderstorms in the blink of an eye washing away the chance of the Saturday night portion of the Coca-Cola Spring Classic. This annual event held at the Capitol Bowl in Owosso, MI is not only a great way to beat the mid-winter racing withdrawals, but it is all for a great cause. Continue reading “8th annual MSTRC Bowling Tournament”
Sno*Drift 2011…A thrilling weekend in Northern Michigan

It was an exciting weekend in Montmorency Co. with the normally serene woods filled with the rumble of engines and hiss of turbo’s. On January 28-29th a county typically void of traffic and containing not a single traffic light was filled to capacity for the 2011 Sno*Drift Rally.
