2015 was a year filled with change and excitement for my family and me. On Easter Sunday (April 5th) my husband and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. For sixty years the “Big E” has played host to the biggest names in auto racing. Drivers like AJ Foyt tackled the ½-mile high banks, and now in 2014 names like Andretti (Aldo’s grandson Jarett is a USAC regular) are still trying to master the track. Tucked into the hills and narrow winding roads of northeast Kentucky sits one of the fastest and toughest dirt tracks in the nation; Florence Speedway. The Walton, Kentucky track has been considered one of the toughest to tame by many of dirt Late Model racings fiercest competitors. Because of its reputation, Florence is also the perfectly fitting home of the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame.
